Mission Monthly Newsletter: April 2025 Edition
The State of Youth Homelessness 2025 report is here!
This year’s findings paint a clear picture: too many young people in our community are still facing housing instability, but their voices, resilience, and leadership are driving real change. The report highlights both the urgent challenges and the opportunities we have to build a more equitable and youth-centered response. We invite you to read the report, share it widely, and join our work!

Centering Youth Voice:
How Authentic Engagement Drives A Place 4 Me's Work
When youth lead, systems change. “Nothing About Us Without Us” is more than a slogan—it’s our call to action. We don’t just listen to young people—we follow their lead, compensate their contributions, and embed their expertise into our programs, policies, and advocacy.
Throughout the State of Youth Homelessness 2025 Report, you can see authentic youth engagement in action. Authentic youth engagement is essential in creating effective, lasting solutions to end youth homelessness. When young people with lived experience are actively involved in shaping policies, programs, and services, systems become more responsive to their real needs. Empowering youth as decision-makers fosters innovation, ensures equity, and strengthens community trust. By centering their voices, we move beyond tokenism and build sustainable change, ensuring that solutions are truly designed with and for the youth they serve.
