Youth Navigation

At A Place 4 Me, we believe that every young person deserves a safe place to call home — and a clear path toward their future.

Our Youth Navigation services are designed to meet young people where they are, helping them navigate the challenges of housing instability and reach their aspirations. We walk alongside youth ages 16–24 as they take steps toward stability, independence, and hope.

How We Help

Through Navigation, young people work one-on-one with Navigators with lived experience who offer personalized support tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. Together, they create an action plan that might include:

  • Finding safe, stable housing

  • Securing employment or job training

  • Enrolling in school or completing a GED

  • Accessing healthcare and mental health services

  • Building life skills like budgeting and self-advocacy

  • Connecting to benefits and community resources

Our Navigators understand the barriers youth face because they listen first. They offer guidance, encouragement, and practical help — without judgment — creating a space where young people feel seen, heard, and valued.

Who We Serve

We work with young people in Cuyahoga County who are:

  • Experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness

  • Aging out of foster care

  • Facing housing instability due to family conflict, poverty, or other challenges

No matter the situation, A Place 4 Me is here to help youth take the next step forward.

Youth Navigation Program Participant

"A Place 4 Me gave me the support I needed when I was facing domestic violence and homelessness. They helped me secure a safe home for my children and me by covering my first month’s rent and security deposit. With their guidance, I was also able to improve my credit and build a more stable future—something I never could have done on my own."
